  14. The items in this week's bulletin are courtesy of Bob, WB2CJL,

  19. RWANDA.  Paul, F6EXV, has been evacuated from Rwanda and is safe in
  20. Burundi.  He had been operating as 9X5DX.  Paul was active from 7O
  21. several years ago, and was the equipment benefactor for 7O1AA.
  22. Plans are for Paul to move on to Kenya around the time this bulletin
  23. makes its way to the airwaves.
  24.  
  25. YEMEN.  Be leary of any 7O station operating CW.  Pat, G3IOR,
  26. reports that the only activity from Yemen is on SSB, that being
  27. Ahmed operating 7O1AA.  Check the Arabian Nights and Family Hour
  28. nets, 14226, 14243 and 14250 kHz.  Ahmed also chats with Zedan,
  29. JY3ZH, around these frequencies.  QSL via PO Box 485, Aden, Yemen.

  31. ON THE TRAIL OF ZL1AMO.  Ron, ZL1AMO, will be active soon as 3D2RW,
  32. with the hopes of moving on to C21, T28RW and ZK3.
  33.  
  34. VATICAN.  Listen for Bob, N2EDF, operating HV4NAC until April 19.
  35.  
  36. JORDAN.  Ibrahim, JY5IN, sometimes checks into the DX net on 14243
  37. kHz at around 0615z.  Also try 14247 kHz at 2230z.
  38.  
  39. ALAND ISLAND.  Pete, OH3MEP, will be active as OH0MEP for a week
  40. starting April 16.  Around the same time, listen for OH0NLP, OH0LQK,
  41. OH0LIU, OH0LYA and OH0KAG.  Between all these stations, CW, SSB and
  42. RTTY will be used on all HF bands.  Some satellite activity is also
  43. planned.

  45. SINT MAARTEN.  From May 24 to 30, Chod, VP2ML/WB2CHO, and Frank,
  46. AH0W/OH2LVG will be signing PJ7/WB2CHO and PJ7/OH2LVG respectively.
  47. They will team up to operate in the CQ WPX CW Contest as PJ8X.  QSL
  48. PJ7/WB2CHO via K1RH.  QSL PJ7/OH2LVG and PJ8X via KE7LZ.
  49.  
  50. FIJI, TONGA AND WESTERN SAMOA.  JR7OEF will be active from these
  51. South Pacific locations.  The tentative schedule is April 29 and 30
  52. as 3D2EF, May 2, 3 and 4 as 5W0NI, May 4, 5 and 6 as A35NI, and May
  53. 7 and 8 as 3D2EF.  QSL via JR7OEF.

  55. ANTARCTICA.  Gavin, VP8GAV, is active from the British base of
  56. Rothera.  Check between 3500 and 3506 kHz around 0515z, and again
  57. between 1015 and 1100z.  His 20 meter haunts are 14017 kHz CW at
  58. 0030z and 14245 kHz SSB.  QSL via GM0LVI.
  59.  
  60. GHANA.  Peter, ex XT2BW, is active as 9G1PW and was heard on 21297
  61. kHz at 1428z.  QSL via WB2YQH.
  62.  
  63. NEPAL.  Marlo, IK3HAQ hopes to be active until April 24.
  64.  
  65. SAINT PAUL ISLAND.  Operators KW2P, WA4DAN, AA4VK, N0TG and possibly
  66. W0RJU plan to be active for the first week of July.  This is the
  67. same group operated from KP1 and KP5 in 1992 and 1993.  Landing
  68. permission and transportation have been secured.

  70. PETER ONE ISLAND QSLS.  Cards for the recent 3Y Expedition are being
  71. printed in Belgium and will be shipped to the states soon.  Jerry,
  72. AA6BV, states that label printing is about 75 per cent complete,
  73. with final mailing planned for sometime in May.  Please note to QSL
  74. SSB contacts via AA6BB.  CW and RTTY cards go via KA6V.

  76. ON A SAD NOTE.  QSL Manager Joyce, WB9NUL, reports that HK0BKX is
  77. now a Silent Key.  Francisco provided countless DXCC credits for San
  78. Andres Island.
  79.  
  80. THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO.  Check out the SARTG World Wide AMTOR
  81. Contest, sponsored by the Scandinavian Amateur Radio Teleprinter
  82. Group.  It runs from 0000 to 0800z and 1600 to 2400z on April 16,
  83. and 0800 to 1600z on the 17th.  Exchange RST, name and QSO number
  84. starting with 001.  Use FEC, mode B, for calling and ARQ, mode A,
  85. for exchange.  For more info see page 121 of March QST.
